Meet the Team

Our team brings real-world experience from emergency medicine, wildland fire, technical rescue, and tactical operations. From frontline medical providers to wildland specialists and veteran instructors, we are committed to delivering disciplined, high-quality service with a focus on safety, capability, and performance—on incident and in training.

Joe Decker, Owner

After enlisting in the U.S. Marines at age 17, Joe Decker built a career rooted in service, resilience, and precision under pressure. With more than two decades of experience across firefighting, emergency medical services, flight paramedicine, and public service, including critical care and technical rescue operations, he witnessed firsthand the need for higher standards in remote and austere medical environments.

That experience led to the founding of Remote Medical Rescue, created to deliver the level of medical care and technical rescue these challenging environments demand. The organization’s teams are built on rigorous training, strong teamwork, and an uncompromising commitment to professionalism. Every technician completes annual rescue academy training to ensure the organization remains a leader in the field.

At its core, Remote Medical Rescue is guided by the belief that skills can be taught, but attitude cannot. This positive, mission-driven mindset defines every member of the organization and underpins its commitment to excellence in remote medical support.
